Sustainability-minded wedding photography

One of the best things about running your own business is being able to align it with your values. I honour the love and respect I have for our beautiful planet by:

  • Maintaining my business membership of 1% for the Planet and donating a portion of my annual turnover to environmental causes. I’m the only photographer in Cornwall who is eco-friendly in this way.

  • As an official partner of One Tree Planted, planting a tree in Indonesia (my favourite country) is something I love to do for every booking I receive.

  • Using second hand photographic equipment wherever practicable: all my camera bodies, prime lenses, battery grips and film cameras are top quality preloved pieces. This is to reduce e-waste and precious metal consumption.

  • Using my bike or public transport to travel to jobs, meetings, and workshops where possible.

  • Using paperless contracts and invoices, and plastic free (cloud based) image delivery services instead of posting USBs and other gizmos, as well as avoiding single-use plastic and disposable products at all costs across all my business operations and personal life.

  • Eating a vegetarian/vegan diet (except for fish that I’ve spearfished with my own two hands).
