Four years in art school gave me a love of colour, texture, and clean, considered lines.
Seven years in the military gave me an eye for the smallest detail and a heart for the things that matter: friends, lovers, loyalty. As an officer and junior pilot I learned to lead, to plan, to swallow my fear, to persevere.
Decades in the sea taught me to notice the tiny joys in life. Light on glassy water, white birds wheeling above salt-caked cliffs, the crinkle beside a smiling stranger’s eye.
Originally from the south coast of England, I work as a freelance photographer and writer worldwide, in the sea and on land. I also build nice websites like this one, over at Studio Honua.

Hire me and my camera to document weddings, events, retreats, parties, products, expeditions: talk to me here. Mostly I reply from Eastern time zones.
